Oh, irony.
I had no way of knowing how well I had honed my Cassandra skills when I suggested that the RE show title ‘Printmakers In Lockdown’ might turn out to be ironic. I’ve now delivered my work for an exhibition that is going to take place with no visitors in a closed gallery so I propose turning it into a performance piece.
From November 6th to 29th you can imagine a London gallery filled with works including two of mine; I will have one print made of linocut, pochoir, rubber stamps and collaged wood engraving in an edition of twenty and a seven part linocut and monotype wall mounted contruction. Feel free to envisage them however you will - I just hope that you choose to see them as artistic, marvellous and ingenious. Maybe one day you will get to compare your version with mine.
