Created for the Liverpool Book Arts exhibition ‘Art, Science & Creativity’, this book is a collaboration with the poet Mike Sims.
It takes ideas (mis)understood from quantum physics and uses them to elaborate on the text of his poetic work. It makes connections between subatomic particles and their behaviours to the elements of language from individual characters to words, phrases and sentences. The text appears across or through pages with varying levels of visibility. The entire poem can only be read when all the centrefolds are displayed.
Folios of opaque and translucent papers are stitched within a concertina cover. Printed with laser print, pochoir and collagraph.
